Kevin Rooms

Kevin is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and holds memberships to the Institute of Engineering & Technology (in which he is an approved IET Mentor) and the Energy Institute. He began his career as an Apprentice Electrician in high-speed manufacturing before moving into the design office, working his way from Junior Engineer to Head of an Electrical Department in a 10-year period. He has 20+ years of experience in electrical project engineering, project management and electrical department management, managing projects for various clients at values ranging from minor to multi-million pound multi-discipline. As a very experienced department/team manager and IET Mentor, Kevin has a strong focus on training and developing new talent.

Kevin joined OSL as Chief Electrical Engineer in 2018 and is now responsible for growing and managing the Electrification business stream for OSL that provides design solutions for commercial and fleet Electric Vehicle charging, Battery Energy Storage Schemes (BESS) and SolarPV.
