OSL sponsors table at charity fundraiser
The Annual Dinner Dance for the Energy Institute’s Humber Branch took place on Friday 7th October at The Beachcomber Club, Humberston. This saw over 300 attendees enjoy an evening of delicious food, good company and some very flashy dance moves.
The guests were given a warm welcome by Tim Brant FEI, Secretary of the EI Humber Branch, followed by an informative speech from Marta Kozlowska, EI Development Director, which gave an update on recent activity.
Alastair Robertson, one of our two Principal Directors, is a committee member of the EI Humber Branch and OSL sponsored a table for the evening. This contributed toward the cheques presented to Mike Gresham of St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice, Grimsby, and Leslie Donaldson, Consultant Breast Surgeon at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby, for the Pink Rose Appeal.
Overall, the charity raffle raised over £2,100 for worthy causes within our region. This excellent result added to the event’s celebratory atmosphere, which came alive with a performance by Boogie Wonderland, a seventies tribute band, followed by a disco that lasted way past everyone’s bedtime.
