Project Manager

We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join our clients team on a 6 month contract. Based in West Yorkshire.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage the planning, execution, and completion of civil, engineering, and construction phases of our clients' projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget. Define project objectives and deliverables.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and manage cost control. Ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all project activities comply with quality standards and regulations. Conduct regular quality inspections and audits.
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Ensure optimal utilization of resources.
  • Health and Safety: Promote a culture of safety and ensure all project activities comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct safety briefings and inspections.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project progress and performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project. Implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management within the civil, engineering, or construction sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
