We are looking to recruit a Recruiter to join our team on a permanent basis. Based in Hull, this role offers hybrid working.

Overview

We are looking for a successful, experienced Recruiter to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding engineering business where you will contribute directly to its growth and success.

You will source candidates for internal opportunities whilst also having the opportunity to support clients with their external project work. This role will ideally suit a proven 360 recruiter with previous client development experience and solid candidate management capabilities.

We’re looking for someone who is proven in recruitment delivery and is driven to perform and continuously improve without the micro approach to management that can exist within many recruitment environments.

Reporting into the Recruitment Manager our experienced Recruiter will be responsible for providing a professional recruitment service to hiring managers whilst building a strong employer brand in the local area.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Hiring Managers throughout the whole recruitment cycle from supporting the writing of job descriptions through to offer and candidate start.
  • Use innovative search tools and traditional networking techniques to locate candidates for relevant positions.
  • Actively expand our current candidate network whilst providing key market intelligence to our sales and delivery teams.
  • Ensure we attract and hire the best talent for projects whilst growing a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Accurately screen candidate applications. Filter and review CVs, vet candidates, pre-screen and assess their skills, before recommending them for formal interview.
  • Interview candidates during various hiring stages, including phone, first-round and second-round interviews when required.
  • Forge and maintain close working relationships with Hiring Managers, understanding individual recruitment requirements whilst determining qualification criteria for each position.
  • Evaluate candidates based on their interview and assessment performance.
  • Forge excellent relationships with candidates ensuring they are communicated with on a regular basis, therefore providing a positive candidate experience throughout the whole recruitment process.
  • Record all candidate interaction via maintaining and updating the CRM.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships whilst delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Take ownership and be responsible for ad-hoc project work as required.
  • Participate in job fairs and other candidate networking events.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Recruiter within a technical recruitment agency or engineering business.
  • Previous experience of recruiting discipline or site-based engineers, designers, project managers and project support roles.
  • Solid understanding and proven delivery of full-cycle 360 recruitment.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to use on line candidate search platforms.
  • A desire to provide a professional and consistent level of service.
  • Experience using various interview formats e.g. phone, in person, group
  • Previous experience of successfully developing business with clients. With experience of working within a similar role, meeting deadlines and targets.
  • Ability to act quickly and decisively when required.
  • Familiar and comfortable in using CRM’s /Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • A good standard of written and verbal English is essential.
  • You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels, as well as energetic and resourceful with a proactive nature

As with any recruitment role, strong communication skills are essential for this role, you should be able to quickly build and maintain strong relationships. To be successful in this role you will be a team player, who is ambitious with a result driven approach. You will have proven ability in managing the full recruitment process and be someone who is an expert within your specialist area.

The role will ideally suit someone who wants to work as part of a small team to deliver consistent recruitment solutions whilst providing a high level of professional service.
