Energy firms form lasting bond

As international engineering consultants, we recently strengthened a long-standing relationship with energy firm, Centrica Storage, to form a three-year partnership that will support the UK Energy industry drive to maximise economic recovery from the North Sea and promote the Humber region as an important energy hub for the country.
The contract comes as another string to our bow having previously worked on projects with other North Sea asset owners BP, Shell, Perenco and INEOS. We will continue to work together in areas such as; design and engineering studies, asset modifications, risk-based project management and specialist resourcing.
Principal Director, Alastair Robertson, said:
“We are delighted to continue building on our relationship with Centrica Storage and look forward to working on some exciting projects. There is a continued need for integration between local companies, and by working together we will create more value across a range of specialist disciplines in the local area, attracting highly skilled engineers to the region.”
We continue to show our commitment to the development and growth in the region through the regular hosting of employment workshops and the provision of student scholarships, whilst striving to address the potential future skills shortage. Our aim is to fortify Hull’s recently appointed status as the most enterprising place to do business in Britain.
Centrica Storage is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Centrica Plc, the parent company of British Gas. It operates the Rough gas field in the Southern North Sea which includes offshore platforms and a gas processing terminal at Easington on the East Yorkshire coast.
